A Warm Ginger and Honey Drink for a Calming Evening

A warm homemade drink made with ginger and honey can be a comforting addition to an evening routine. However, claims that one drink can collapse an enlarged prostate in 45 minutes or stop nighttime urination immediately are not supported by reliable medical evidence.

Frequent nighttime urination can have many causes, including an enlarged prostate, urinary infection, diabetes, certain medications, or drinking a lot of fluid before bed. A persistent change in urination should be evaluated rather than treated with a kitchen remedy alone.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of hot water
  • 1 small piece of fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • A small squeeze of lemon, optional

Step 1: Prepare the Ginger

Wash and peel a small piece of fresh ginger.

Slice it into thin pieces so that its flavor can infuse easily into the water.

Step 2: Heat the Water

Bring one cup of water to a boil.

Remove it from the heat and add the sliced ginger.

Step 3: Let It Infuse

Cover the cup and allow the ginger to steep for about 5–10 minutes.

The longer it sits, the stronger and more spicy the flavor will become.

Step 4: Add Honey

Allow the drink to cool slightly, then stir in one teaspoon of honey.

Add a little lemon if you enjoy a brighter flavor.

Step 5: Enjoy

Drink it warm as an evening beverage. If nighttime urination is a concern, avoid drinking a large amount of liquid immediately before going to bed.

Important Note About Prostate Symptoms

An enlarged prostate, also called benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), can cause symptoms such as frequent urination, difficulty starting urination, a weak stream, or waking several times during the night.

Ginger and honey may be enjoyable foods, but they should not be presented as a treatment that shrinks the prostate within minutes. If urinary symptoms are persistent, a healthcare professional can determine whether BPH or another condition is responsible and discuss appropriate treatment.

If you suddenly cannot urinate, have blood in your urine, develop severe pain, fever, or feel very unwell, seek medical care promptly.

Enjoy.
