Crispy Cheesy Onion Ring Chips (Low Carb Recipe)

Ingredients

1 cup almond flour
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 large onion, thinly sliced into rings
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 large eggs
Cooking spray or olive oil

Instructions

Preparation: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray or olive oil.

Prepare the Coating: In a shallow bowl, combine almond flour, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine the dry ingredients.

Coat the Onion Rings: In another bowl, beat the eggs. Dip each onion ring into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Then, coat the onion ring in the almond flour and cheese mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Place the coated onion ring on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with all onion rings.

Bake: Once all onion rings are coated and placed on the baking sheet, lightly spray them with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil.

Bake in Oven: Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the onion rings are golden brown and crispy. Flip them halfway through baking to ensure even cooking.

Serve: Once done, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve your crispy cheesy onion ring chips warm as a snack or appetizer.
