Here’s how to clean your bed pillows so they stay white and smell nice

To keep your pillow clean and free of yellow stains caused by night sweats, you’ll need more than just a pillowcase. In order to restore your pillows’ natural white color, follow these cleaning instructions.

To prevent discoloration, bleach should be cleaned with pillows regularly. The most common reason pillows become yellow is because of perspiration or sweat secreted when sleeping. Mites and bacteria thrive in the conditions created by these liquids.

Because they thrive in damp environments, these microbes will flourish in your mattress. While some may toss their pillows out the window the moment they see a yellow spot, cleaning the pillowcases is really all that’s needed to keep your pillows clean and healthy for at least another six months.

An annual wash is sufficient for the duvet. You may wash your pillows in the washing machine.
