Nourishing Aloe Vera and Flaxseed Gel Mask Recipe

Ingredients
2 tablespoons of fresh aloe vera gel (scooped from an aloe vera leaf)
1 tablespoon of whole or ground flaxseeds
1 cup of water
Instructions
Prepare the Flaxseed Gel

In a small saucepan, add the flaxseeds and water.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens into a gel-like consistency.
Strain the flaxseed gel through a fine mesh strainer to separate the seeds from the gel. Let it cool to room temperature.
Combine with Aloe Vera

In a blender or small mixing bowl, blend the aloe vera gel until smooth.
Add the cooled flaxseed gel to the aloe vera and mix until fully combined. The result should be a thick, smooth gel.
Application

For Skin: Apply a thin layer to clean skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. This mask can help soothe and hydrate dry or irritated skin.
For Hair: Massage the gel onto your scalp and hair, focusing on the ends. Leave it in for 20-30 minutes before rinsing with cool water. This mask can help condition the hair and soothe the scalp.
Storage

Store any leftover mask in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
