Avocado Seed Superfood Powder Recipe

Ingredients

Optional: spices like chili powder, paprika, or turmeric for added flavor
1 avocado seed

Instructions

Clean the Seed: Rinse the avocado seed thoroughly to remove any remaining avocado flesh. Pat it dry with a paper towel.

Dry the Seed: Leave the seed to air-dry for a day, or bake it in the oven at a low temperature (around 120°C / 250°F) for 1-2 hours until it’s completely dry. This will make it easier to grate.

Remove the Skin (Optional): Once the seed is dry, you can peel off the thin brown skin on the outside, though this step is optional.

Grate the Seed: Using a fine grater, carefully grate the avocado seed. It will produce a reddish-orange powder. Be cautious with your fingers while grating, as the seed is hard.

Optional Spice Mix: To enhance the flavor, you can mix the grated avocado seed with spices like chili powder, paprika, or turmeric. This can make it more enjoyable if you’re adding it to savory dishes.

Store the Powder: Transfer the powder to an airtight container and store it in a cool, dry place. It should keep for up to a week.

Ways to Use Avocado Seed Powder:

Smoothies: Add 1/2 teaspoon to your favorite smoothie for a boost of fiber and antioxidants.
Teas: Mix 1/2 teaspoon with hot water or tea for a unique flavor and potential health benefits.
Soups & Stews: Stir a small amount into soups or stews to enrich them with extra nutrients.
Enjoy.
