Ultimate Fudgy Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

1 ½ cups (300g) granulated sugar
1 cup (200g) packed brown sugar
4 large eggs, room temperature
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, melted
1 cup (100g) unsweetened cocoa powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup (175g) semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks
Optional: ½ cup (60g) chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts, pecans)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) baking pan or line it with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
Prepare the Batter:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Sift the flour, cocoa powder, and salt into the wet mixture. Fold everything together until just combined—be careful not to overmix.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips or chunks and nuts if using.
Bake:

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Don’t overbake; the brownies should remain fudgy in the center.
Cool and Serve:

Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before lifting them out using the parchment overhang. Slice into squares and serve.
Enjoy.
