Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky, as preferred)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Prepare the pan:
Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it. This makes it easier to remove the fudge once it’s set.
Combine sugar and milk:
In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and milk. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is fully dissolved.
Boil the mixture:
Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, stirring occasionally. Once it reaches a boil, let it cook for about 2–3 minutes without stirring.
Add peanut butter and vanilla:
Remove the saucepan from heat and immediately stir in the peanut butter and vanilla extract. Mix quickly and thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Pour and set:
Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan. Smooth the top with a spatula if needed.
Cool and cut:
Allow the fudge to cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate it until firm (about 1–2 hours). Once set, cut it into squares and enjoy!
Tips:
Use a candy thermometer if you want to ensure precise cooking. The mixture should reach about 234–240°F (soft-ball stage).
For added texture, sprinkle chopped peanuts or chocolate chips on top before the fudge sets.
This recipe is perfect for beginners and makes a deliciously rich treat!
Enjoy.
