Here’s a simple and refreshing Cucumber Salad recipe — perfect for summer or as a side dish!
Classic Cucumber Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
2 large cucumbers (thinly sliced)
1/2 red onion (thinly sliced)
2–3 tbsp fresh dill (chopped)
1/4 cup white vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
1 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Optional: 2 tbsp sour cream or Greek yogurt (for creamy version)
Instructions:
Prep cucumbers:
Thinly slice the cucumbers (peeling optional). You can use a mandoline for even slices.
Salt & drain (optional but helpful):
Sprinkle cucumbers with a bit of salt and let them sit in a colander for 15–20 minutes. Pat dry to reduce excess water.
Mix dressing:
In a bowl, whisk together vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir until sugar dissolves.
Combine:
Add cucumbers, red onions, and dill to the bowl. Toss well to coat.
Chill:
Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to let the flavors blend.
Serve:
Serve cold as a side dish. Add sour cream or Greek yogurt if you prefer it creamy.
