Ingredients:
- 1 medium apple (any variety, sweet ones like Fuji or Gala work well)
- 1 small beetroot, peeled and chopped
- 2 medium carrots, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cucumber, peeled (if waxy) and chopped
- 1/2 inch piece of ginger (optional, for a zingy kick)
- Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional, for brightness)
- 1/2 to 1 cup water (depending on desired consistency)
- Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions:
- Wash all the fruits and vegetables thoroughly.
- Peel and chop the beetroot, carrot, and cucumber into small pieces.
- Core and chop the apple (no need to peel it unless you prefer).
- Add everything into a blender or juicer:
- If using a juicer, simply run all ingredients through it.
- If using a blender, add chopped produce + water, blend until smooth, then strain through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the pulp.
