Biscuits from the Heart

Ingredients (Makes about 12 biscuits):

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup sugar

Instructions:

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Mix the Ingredients:

In a large bowl, combine the flour and sugar.

Slowly add the heavy cream, mixing until a soft dough forms. The dough should be slightly sticky but workable.

Shape the Biscuits:

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times to bring it together.

Pat the dough into a rectangle, about 1 inch thick. Using a biscuit cutter or a glass, cut the dough into rounds.

Bake the Biscuits:

Place the biscuit rounds on the prepared baking sheet, close together but not touching.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.

Serve:

Let the biscuits cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm with butter, jam, or just as they are!

Tips:

You can add a pinch of salt for extra flavor, though it’s optional.

For a sweeter treat, sprinkle a little extra sugar on top before baking.
