Bacon-Loaded Cheesy Cauliflower Steaks

Ingredients

2-3 tablespoons olive oil
1 large head of cauliflower
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese)
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat Your Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Slice the Cauliflower:

Remove the outer leaves from the cauliflower head and trim the stem.
Cut the cauliflower into 1-inch thick steaks, aiming for about 4-5 steaks depending on the size.
Season the Steaks:

Place the cauliflower steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil.
Drizzle olive oil over both sides of the steaks.
In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika (if using), salt, and pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning mix evenly on both sides of the cauliflower steaks.
Roast to Perfection:

Roast the seasoned cauliflower steaks in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are tender and the edges are golden brown.
Add Cheese and Bacon:

Take the cauliflower out of the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top of each steak.
Return the baking sheet to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and become bubbly.
Finish and Serve:

Once the cheese is perfectly melted, remove the cauliflower steaks from the oven.
Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the cheesy steaks.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Enjoy.
