Ingredients
For the French Toast:
2 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
2 thick slices of bread (brioche or challah recommended)
Pinch of salt and pepper
Optional: 1 teaspoon of sugar for a touch of sweetness
For the Big Mac Layers:
1 slice of American cheese
Shredded lettuce
2 ground beef patties
Pickle slices
Diced onions
Big Mac sauce (mix 2 tablespoons mayo, 1 teaspoon ketchup, 1 teaspoon sweet pickle relish, 1/2 teaspoon yellow mustard, and a splash of vinegar)
Instructions
Make the French Toast:
Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and optional sugar in a shallow bowl.
Dip the bread slices into the egg mixture, coating them thoroughly.
Cook the bread on a preheated griddle or frying pan until each side is golden brown and slightly crispy.
Cook the Beef Patties:
Season the beef patties with salt and pepper.
Cook them on a skillet over medium heat until they reach your preferred doneness.
Place the slice of American cheese on one of the patties while it’s still hot to allow it to melt.
Assemble the Sandwich:
Spread the Big Mac sauce on one side of each French toast slice.
Place shredded lettuce, diced onions, and pickles on one slice.
Add one of the beef patties, followed by the patty with melted cheese.
Top with the second slice of French toast, sauce side down.
Enjoy.
