Garlic Toast Sloppy Joe Melts

Ingredients

2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup tomato sauce
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 bell pepper, finely chopped (optional)
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
Garlic bread slices (store-bought or homemade)
Shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Ground Beef Mixture:

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
Add the chopped onion, bell pepper (if using), and minced garlic. Cook until vegetables are softened.
Add Sauces and Seasonings:

Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well and simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally.
Prepare the Garlic Toast:

Preheat the oven to broil. Arrange garlic bread slices on a baking sheet.
If using store-bought garlic bread, follow package instructions for toasting. If making your own, spread garlic butter on bread slices and toast until golden.
Assemble the Melts:

Spoon a generous amount of the sloppy joe mixture onto each garlic toast slice.
Add Cheese and Broil:

Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top of each open-faced sandwich.
Place under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Enjoy.
