Crispy Apple Fritters Recipe

Ingredients

1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2/3 cup milk
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups apples, peeled and chopped (about 2 medium apples)
Vegetable oil for frying
Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the chopped apples until evenly distributed.

In a large, deep skillet or pot, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, using about 1/4 cup for each fritter. Flatten slightly with the back of the spoon.

Fry the fritters for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Remove the fritters from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain them on a paper towel-lined plate.

Dust the warm fritters with powdered sugar before serving.
Enjoy.
