Ingredients
Olive oil or cooking spray
4 medium russet potatoes
Salt, to taste
Optional toppings: sour cream, chives, cheese, bacon bits, etc.
Instructions
Preparation:
Wash the potatoes thoroughly under running water and pat them dry with paper towels.
Use a fork or a sharp knife to pierce each potato several times to allow steam to escape during cooking.
Coating:
Lightly coat each potato with olive oil or spray them with cooking spray to help crisp the skins.
Seasoning:
Sprinkle salt evenly over the potatoes, ensuring they are well-seasoned.
Air Frying:
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a few minutes.
Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket or tray, leaving space between each one for air circulation.
Cook for about 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the potatoes are tender and the skins are crispy.
Checking Doneness:
To check if they’re done, insert a fork or skewer into the center of a potato; it should slide in easily with no resistance.
Serving:
Once cooked, allow the potatoes to cool slightly before handling.
Cut each potato open lengthwise and fluff the insides with a fork.
Serve hot with your favorite toppings such as sour cream, chives, cheese, or bacon bits.
Enjoy.
